From education and crime to health and welfare, these are the stories of life in Wellington 100 years ago.

A Millennium Ago

Special effects combine in a unique eight-minute show telling the Maori creation legends of Ngake and Whataitai, the taniwha who created Wellington harbour and of 'how Maui got fire'.

Visitors enter the Gallery and sit to watch this dramatic show using the latest in technology and special effects.
